OUR PURPOSE (Why we exist):
TO GLORIFY GOD AND ENJOY HIM FOREVER

OUR MISSION (How we accomplish our purpose):
EQUIPPING BELIEVERS TO GROW IN CHRIST THROUGH  WORSHIPPING, CONNECTING, SERVING AND IMPACTING

As you will see, our approach is very simple. We believe Jesus has called the church to “make disciples” (Mt. 28:18-20) and we believe the ministries we have in place will encourage believers to grow in Christ (Col. 1:28).

The great thing about our simple and practical approach is that it enables you to diagnose where you are in the process of discipleship and it provides you with a blueprint for becoming mature in Christ (Eph. 4:11-15).

We hope you take the following four steps with us:
WORSHIP, CONNECT, SERVE and IMPACT.

through WORSHIPPING

Reorienting ourselves to God

Worship is the first step in our process of discipleship and is usually the point of entry into our church family. Our hope is that during worship you will get reoriented to God through teaching and music that is based on the truth of His Word.

The Problem: We often think we are capable of making it through life on our own. Even when we see our need for God, we try to seek Him and worship Him in our own ways and on our own terms.

The Solution: God wants us to worship Him on His terms. Worship takes place when the church has been equipped with God’s Word (Jn 4:23). Therefore, we believe that Biblical teaching is central to worship and should take place within the community of God’s people (Heb 10:25).

Expectations: We hope you commit to worship with us regularly on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.

Our growth in Christ begins with worship.

through CONNECTING

Building authentic relationships with God’s people

Connecting is the second step in our process of discipleship. Our hope is that you will build community with God’s people through connecting at Fellowship.

The Problem: We are taught from an early age to be dependent upon ourselves. The result of this mindset is that we often fail to value relationships the way God intended.

The Solution: God has called us into His community, the church, so that we might grow in Christ through developing relationships with one another (Eph 2:19-22).

Expectations: Our small groups are one of the primary places where you can connect with other people who are in similar stages of life through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and accountability. Our hope is that you will commit to one of our small groups.

Our growth in Christ results in authentic relationships with God’s people.

through SERVING

Showing God’s love within His community

Serving is the third step in our process of discipleship. Our hope is that our church will be a blessing to our people and that our people will be a blessing to our church.

The Problem: We correctly value our time, energy and resources. However, we tend to invest ourselves in activities that benefit “me.” The idea of sacrifice and humility sounds good but it is rarely practiced.

The Solution: Jesus came to earth not to be served, but to serve (Mt 20:28). As we grow in Christ, we begin to consider the needs of others as we follow His perfect example of humility and sacrifice (Jn 13:15; Phil 2:3-8). We want our members to be involved in serving- not simply because we have physical needs to be met- but because it is healthy for us to learn how to sacrificially serve one another (Gal 5:13).

Expectations: Our hope is that you will get involved in serving in one or more areas in our church. Our goal is that you will grow in Christ through developing a servant’s heart and a desire to serve God’s people.

Our growth in Christ encourages us to show His love within His community.

through IMPACTING

Sharing God’s love with our world

Impacting is the fourth step in our process of discipleship. Our hope is that you will get equipped to share God’s love with the world.

The Problem: We can all see that problems exist in our world. We often conclude that the situation is hopeless and that one person can’t really make a significant difference.

The Solution: The Bible is God’s incredible message to us that there is hope in seemingly tragic circumstances: “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8). God calls us and allows us to participate in His plan by taking this message of grace and hope to all people (Acts 1:8). As we grow in Christ, we begin to impact our world for Christ.

Expectations: Our desire is for you to be involved in representing Christ and making him known locally, nationally, and internationally through the ministries of our church. Also, we hope you impact your world for Christ through your lifestyle, through sharing about Christ, and by inviting others to church.

Our growth in Christ leads us to share God’s love with our world.
